Todays Asian Markets Update 30 July 2013

Asian markets were trading firm. Japan’s Nikkei rose 0.23 percent or 31.67 points at 13,692.80.Singapore’s Straits Times was up 0.12 percent or 3.77 points at 3,240.74.South Korea’s Seoul Composite gained 0.46 percent or 8.66 points at 1,908.55.Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted added 0.56 percent or 45.11 points at 8,129.61.China’s Shanghai Composite was flat at 1,977.82.Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was flat at 21,862.15.

Todays US Markets Update 30 July 2013

U.S. trading, the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished down 0.24%, the S&P 500 index fell 0.37%, while the Nasdaq Composite index fell 0.39%.The Dow Jones industrial average was down 36.86 points, or 0.24 percent, at 15,521.97. The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index was down 6.32 points, or 0.37 percent, at 1,685.33. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 14.02 points, or 0.39 percent, at 3,599.14.
